The girls and I walked our big black lab mix in a new place to us but not to her. Annie our Lab was in old home territory and she loved it!
Her former owners couldn't keep her and needed a family to take her, a family preferably one with a big back yard and time for a very attention needy dog. Our family had lost our very sweet Goldie about 2 years before and had not replaced her...pure breds are pricey! So we took Annie, now our sweet, energetic, hyper scardy-cat dog.
The friend who had owned her lived near a big arroyo (ravine to some, ditch to others, dried creek bed to some.) The girls and I took Annie there and were surprised by the beauty of some places in the arroyo and the enegy of our crazy dog!
